Update: Chances This November 2026 Are Looking Even Better

We are still the underdogs to take back the U.S. Senate this midterm. However, our chances of winning both the U.S. House and the U.S. Senate have been improving. According to Let’s Talk Elections:

  • Democrats are outraising Republicans in most key races.
  • Democrats are enjoying a 10-percentage-point lead in party affiliation nationwide.
  • Polls of Democratic and Republican candidates in key races in Iowa, Maine, North Carolina, and Alaska show a path to Democratic victories.
  • Maine Senate President Troy Jackson is replacing Platter on the Maine ballot, and Jackson holds 49% to 46% edge over incumbent U.S. Sen. Susan Collins in a hypothetical election matchup.

We cannot take these developments for granted. We must stay diligent, because a lot can happen between now and Election Day.
