We have not yet set a final goal for how many postcards to handwrite by October 2026, but it will be at least 30,000. So far, we have written 3,000.
Progress: Twenty-six volunteers are currently writing postcards. Exactly 3,000 have been written and returned to us to hold until October. Based on a 2022 experiment, we expect those cards to increase voter turnout by 1.7 percentage points. That is an additional 50 Democratic votes from those 3,000 postcards that will be sent in October to voters in purple states to turn them blue.
Goals: The goal for the year will be at least 30,000 handwritten postcards. The limiting factor will likely be how much money we can raise for printing and postage. We also have staff expenses and overhead, but those costs are minimal.
